So, Pear 1 went to see that Elton something or other on Saturday at the B2Net arena in massive Chesterfield, he thought it was something. I, on the other hand, went to see Jack Black and his mate Kyle and they're other mates Mr Guitar-Player, Derek the drummer and Jace Bass (not their real names).

It was a mix of old and new, performed with gusto, bravado, sweat and fury. A very well honed performance, pitch perfect and tight as a duck's arse. Childish daftness permeated the performance with a huge inflatable, bird-faced cock-and-balls (with wings that reselmbled a female undercarriage) being the most penetrative example. Wonderboy? Yes! Tribute? YES! Daring Climbery? Oh yes! New stuff off the phallus adorned Rize of the Fenix album? Yeah!

Jack Black's got a raaaaaaaaaate (Derbyshire slang for 'very good') voice on him, God, the man can obviously bellow like a Medieval Pall-bearer but he was hitting the notes spot on, the whole gig, quite a feat considering the vocal range of the rock and metal he pays his phat homage to.

| Kyle QUIT THE BAND!? |
So, D were very, mega, quite awesome and the venue, the Manchester 02 Apollo Theatre was pretty nice, not too big, not to small and packed out. I managed to sneak in some dynamite and a DSLR and took some pics which I will share with you via telepathy.
Also, hats off to the very young lads from California (i think) called BOTS, punchy and a bit like RATM at times and they included an afro and a funny hat.
